Multidrug-resistant #Tuberculosis dubbed airborne #cancer @LaurenWeberHP

Tuberculosis Could Kill 75 Million People By 2050!     Multidrug-resistant TB, or MDR-TB, which experts have dubbed “airborne cancer,” is the latest superbug you probably haven’t heard of. Standard tuberculosis drugs don’t work on MDR-TB, and only about 10 percent of people with MDR-TB worldwide are treated effectively. The other 90 percent spend what remains of their lives spreading the deadly bacteria to people around them. There were about 480,000 cases of MDR-TB globally in 2013, including about 100 in the United States. Seventy-five million additional people will lose their lives over the next 35 years as a result of MDR-TB, a United Kingdom government report predicted.  READ THE REST OF THE SCOOP !    The link to the full story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/tuberculosis-mdr-tb-treatment_56211f2be4b06462a13bc8fd?6tg9zfr&ncid=newsltushpmg00000003 Thank you Lauren Weber of The Huffington Post and editor of The Morning Email ~ Subscribe @ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/newsletter/daily Twitter.com/LaurenWeberHP  ...

HERE Or Call 323-462-2355 Let the spirits of Hollywood move you… HISTORY OF THE VILLA CARLOTTA The Villa Carlotta Apartments at 5959 Franklin Avenue were built in 1927 by Luther T. Mayo Inc. and architect Arthur E. Harvey for Eleanor Ince, silent screen starlet and the widow of Hollywood silent-film pioneer Thomas Ince. The couple’s original house was across the street where they built the Chateau Elysee. Thomas Ince died mysteriously in 1924 following a trip on William Randolph Hearst’s yacht; it’s rumored that Hearst helped finance the building out of guilt over Ince’s death. Tenants over the years have included gossip columnist Louella Parsons (who was on that fateful boat trip), Hearst’s mistress Marion Davies (same), director George Cukor, producer David O. Selznick, Edward G. Robinson, and architect Wallace Neff.  Rickie Lee Jones was a longtime resident, and Jim Morrison of the Doors used to pen poetry and songs in the courtyard. Parsons wrote her popular gossip column from her two-bedroom town home there. More recent residents have included Neil Patrick Harris, post Doogie Howser and Michael Biehn, post The Terminator. The Villa Carlotta was designated a Los Angeles historic cultural monument in 1986. Its centerpiece is a 1,500-square-foot grand lobby with hand-painted coffered ceilings, detailed mahogany woodwork, marble statuary, a stone fireplace and original lighting fixtures. The apartments wrap around a lushly landscaped center courtyard with fountains and private seating areas. R.S.V.P.
