MIGRAINE HEADACHES, you’d be surprised why they happen. @WillRobertsUSA

MIGRAINE HEADACHES   Wendy McPhail, CNC, NBCCT, FDN-P Check out Wendy’s website at: www.Nethersprings.com Instgram: @Nethersprings Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NetherspringsNutriFunction Do you have them? They are a big problem and affect millions of people. You can take drugs, but should be asking what is the root cause.   Sometimes they are caused by peanuts or eggs or dairy – food sensitivities. A food challenge test is just that – you eat the possibly offending food throughout a day – on its own, and we see what happens. Here is something interesting. I’ve had clients who were intolerant to eggs, and when they ate truly range free (pastured) eggs – chickens were not fed soy or corn – there was no food sensitivity and no headaches! So it does matter if our food is filled with antibiotics, hormones and GMO grains. Those foods create inflammation in our bodies.   DRINK WATER. One of the most common signs of headaches is the lack of drinking plain purified drinking water. Do not drink distilled, but drink a good reverse osmosis or otherwise cleansed water. 3 quarts to a gallon spread out throughout the day is very important. Do not drink with your meals. Many people are sensitive to gluten, the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, oats, and spelt. There are other chemicals (GMO grains which make that bread) and peptides in breads as well – not only gluten that can make us sick. I find that once people are bread free their lives change only for the better.   Consuming too much alcohol, sugar, flour, and starches – this type of lifestyle produces so many problems in the body. The GI tract becomes riddled with bugs – H.Pylori bacteria and Candida albicans are two that I see often. It is a great sign that the body’s many microbes in the gut are out of balance. This in turn affects the liver which cannot handle the overload and headaches along with inability to sleep (insomnia) are the result.   MAGNESIUM deficiency. At least once a month on this page I create an article on Magnesium. It is the relaxation mineral. If you’re deficient in it (over 85% of us are) you can often get headaches and migraines. I once had a client with chronic migraines who tried everything to cure them, but nothing helped. It turned out that she had a massive magnesium deficiency. She began a very high dose of magnesium, (by mouth and transdermally) and her migraines went away.   If you see your migraines every month at the onset of your cycle here are some thoughts: Balance your hormones to stop premenstrual migraines by exercising! eliminate caffeine, alcohol, and sugar; start eating a diet rich in plant foods – juicing is a great way to assimilate them. INCREASE your good fats – Not trans fats – but the GOOD ones for example Cod Liver Oil should be taken by everyone daily (A&D in fat form – your brain is about 65% fat!) and Omega 3 fish oils. This also goes for those in menopause.   Check out Wendy’s website at: www.Nethersprings.com...

The goal of this podcast is to help motivate actors to keep moving forward, how to look on the bright side, and stay focused on their goals. With special guests to discuss how they have worked and what they have done to get where they are, Actors Anyonymous is made is made for the LA actor to inspire them to never give up.  Wesam Keesh “Actors Anonymous was created because I felt actors needed a resource to sustain and evolve not only their acting craft but also their business careers and personal lives. Living and working as an actor has showed me that many of my fellow artists waste away years of their lives in a state of negativity, disillusion, and unnecessary competitiveness. This needs to stop if we want to grow as artists, professionals and human beings. My goal is to create a fellowship between the true actors in this industry. We should support one another and have fun doing it. There is no competition. Health Bytes with Wendy McPhail: HEMORRHOIDS & YOU @WillRobertsUSA

Health Bytes with Wendy McPhail: HEMORRHOIDS & YOU @WillRobertsUSA

Today on Health Bytes with Wendy McPhail: HEMORRHOIDS & YOU   Hemorrhoids are veinous cushions around the anal opening which can be internal or external. Almost 50% of the Western population develops unhealthy hemorrhoids at some point in their lives, and in my profession I see the condition daily.   Symptoms can be – swelling, itchiness, bleeding, irritation and pain. It can make life very uncomfortable – traveling, driving – sitting anywhere becomes an issue. Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the lower rectum and wall of the anus. It happens when there is too much pressure and this causes the small veins to swell and fill with blood. Straining during bowel movements from an improper diet and insufficient fiber can create a constant issue. Pregnancy for women can also cause this problem.   Hemorrhoids can be treated and prevented using natural remedies. What are a few things you could do to improve the situation?   THINK FIBER!   We have such a high incidence of hemorrhoids in the western hemisphere because of our refined food / fast food lifestyle. Changing the diet, exercising, drinking plenty of water and taking a serious look at stress levels can all make an impact on your well-being. Good fiber is my mantra to all my clients!   Fiber ends constipation, can stop hemorrhoids, firm up loose stools, absorb toxins in the gut – and even feed the good bacteria that need to proliferate within our ecosystems!   Raw and steamed vegetables should be a large part of your diet – staying away from the higher starch vegies like white potatoes and the high sugar fruits. Juicing greens is also helpful for good bowel movements and healing hemorrhoids.   You may supplement the above by adding a TBSP of Organic Psyllium Husk/Seed, 1 TSP Slippery Elm Bark powder, and 1 TBSP of Organic Coconut Oil all to a ½ cup of water in a jar with a lid – shake and drink immediately 2x a day.   1 TSP Magnesium in carbonate and/or citrate powder form – swished in some water 2x a day can also be very helpful.   WITCH HAZEL   Use Witch Hazel topically, in the form of a cream, liquid or compress. The leaves and bark of this plant have been used as a remedy for hemorrhoids since ancient times. It will help to shrink the swelling of the hemorrhoid, reduce the bleeding, and relieve the pain and itchiness. You can buy pads pre-soaked with Witch Hazel, or apply pure Witch Hazel yourself to the affected area, using a cotton ball. Aloe Vera gel could be to this if you desire.   A warm bath is soothing – add witch hazel to the water and soak until the discomfort has ceased. Witch Hazel is a versatile herb that is used topically for various conditions.   STONE ROOT WITCH HAZEL SUPPLEMENT   This can be found in capsules or in tincture (liquid) form. The capsules by Eclectic Institute contain concentrates of Stone Root, Witch Hazel, Bilberry and Gotu Kola. Tincture forms of Stone Root Witch Hazel are also available. These can be found online.   BUTCHER’S BROOM HERB   Despite the bloody sounding name, butcher’s broom tightens and strengthens the veins and acts as a vasoconstrictor that narrows the blood...

And when this very unfortunate epiphany occurs it is you, the actor, who must suffer the consequences. Whether for a show, a commercial or an audition, it is likely that you might have to learn a dialect (or fifty) to stay competitive in the acting biz. Here are some quick and dirty tips to get you started. Figure Out What Kind of Learner You Are There are many ways to learn a dialect. Some people prefer to mark their scripts with phonetic substitutions, while others learn by ear, or some combination of these and other methods. The first step is to figure out which way helps you learn the fastest. Don’t waste your time trying to do it the “right” way. Whatever gets it in your body is right. For example, I have learned that hearing a demonstration first and mimicking the dialect before ever touching my lines saves me lots of time and frustration. This surprised me because I am usually much more of a visual learner, but when it comes to accents, I need the aural cues first. What Are “Substitutions?” Substitutions are the changes in vowel and consonant sounds when translating one dialect to another. If you have ever taken a voice class you may have had an introduction to...
